New Vantage process in place for bi-deltoid measurements

Falck Safety Services UK (FSSUK) will no longer provide Step Change in Safety with bi-deltoid measurement details due to the industry body’s access to Vantage being ceased.

For over a year, Step Change in Safety has uploaded the information of more than 75,000 delegates on to Vantage, however this will now be the responsibility of the offshore mobilising company.

FSSUK will provide delegates who have been measured by a qualified Trainer or Measurer with a Step Change in Safety certificate, which can be uploaded onto Vantage by a Vantage User, such as the offshore mobilising company/the delegate’s employer.

The Vantage User Group has accepted a Step Change in Safety certificate as validated proof that a person has been measured. An FSSUK Trainer or Measurer can access the Step Change in Safety portal to create a unique certificate for all delegates, which can be sent on to the necessary companies.

All personnel flying offshore in the UKCS are required to have their shoulder width measured in order to comply with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements.

For further information on measuring requirements please see related news item New Offshore Measuring Requirements, or for Step Change in Safety certificate instructions, please click on the Passenger Size Update document below.
